The Crombie holds an exquisite collection of paintings referred to as the Sobey Collection. This display of 19th and 20th century Canadian art was assembled by Frank and Irene Sobey for their personal enjoyment. The setting for the collection is a private home, not a large museum or gallery. The Collection includes work by Cornelius Krieghoff, the Group of Seven, and other Canadian and Nova Scotian artists, and offers a diversity of style, subject and interpretation.

The Crombie is open July and August, Wednesdays only. No admission. Tours are available, 9:00 am - 12 noon and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Special groups tours are available upon request.
