The Hector Exhibit Centre was established in 1973 to commemorate the bicentennial of the landing of the Ship Hector in 1773. The centre offers a venue for local artisans to display their talent, historians to share their stories, musicians to melt hearts and educators to teach all. Exhibits often feature crafts, beautiful quilts, hooked mats, artwork, genealogies and various aspects of local history and culture. A focal point of great interest is the local heritage and genealogy information available at the centre. The centre is open Wednesday - Saturday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm.
